Daisy the duckling and her little brother, Pip, decided to play a game of hide-and-seek on the farm and around the pond. Pip, being the mischievous one, had found the best hiding place possible: under Mama's wing. Daisy searched high and low, quacking and flapping her wings, but she couldn't seem to find her brother anywhere.
Frustrated, she waddled back to Mama, who was resting peacefully in the shade. Pip, sensing his sister's return, snuggled deeper into Mama's soft feathers, trying his best to stay hidden. Daisy circled Mama, peering underneath, but Pip remained perfectly still and silent.
Suddenly, Mama lifted her wing, and there was Pip, his little eyes blinking in the sunlight. Daisy quacked in delight and rushed to her brother, nuzzling him affectionately. Pip, caught red-handed, let out a shy peep and waddled out from his hiding place, his head hung low.
The two ducklings continued their game, Daisy chasing Pip around the pond, quacking and flapping her wings. Pip, ever the clever one, found new and inventive hiding spots, from under the fence to behind the old oak tree. Daisy, determined to find her brother, searched every nook and cranny, her brow furrowed in concentration.
As the sun began to set, the two ducklings finally grew tired of their game and waddled back to Mama, who had been watching over them the entire time. Pip snuggled up to Mama, his eyes drooping, while Daisy nestled beside him, her head resting on his back.
The farm was now quiet, save for the gentle quacking of the ducks and the chirping of the crickets. Mama duck gave a content sigh, grateful that her little ones were safe and sound. She knew that the days of endless energy and mischief would soon come to an end, but for now, she was content to watch over her two precious ducklings as they drifted off to sleep.
